We provide a 3-day, 2-night itinerary in Cairo that includes visits to the Giza Pyramids, the Egyptian Museum, the Citadel of Saladin, Old Cairo, and Khan El Khalili. This is an excellent chance to experience Egyptian culture and its magnificent landmarks.
Day 1 Arrival in Cairo:
Our representative will meet you at the airport. You will then be driven to the Giza Pyramids, where you can see the Great Pyramid of King Cheops and also see the pyramids of Chephren and Mycerinus. After that, you will drive to the panoramic area to take memorable photos of the three pyramids together. You will also visit the Sphinx and the Valley Temple, also known as the Mumification Temple, where you will learn more about the mummification secrets.
afterward there will be a stop at the Papyrus Institute to learn how the pharaohs made the earliest known sort of paper. There will be a lunch stop later at a very unusual restaurant where you may sample some delectable Egyptian cuisine.
If you would like to explore Cairo's streets and major attractions at night, you can take a nighttime city tour, which offers you a chance to see the city's highlights, including a felucca ride down the Nile and a stroll down Elmoez Street, Cairo's oldest street, where you can take in the city's medieval architecture and way of life. Elmokatam Cliff is the highest point in Cairo.
After that driving to your hotel for relaxing & overnight there.
Day 2 Visiting Egyptian museum and Saladin citadel:
Following breakfast, your day will begin with a visit to the Egyptian Museum, where you will be able to view a magnificent collection of pharaonic and Greco-Roman statues and monuments as well as treasures from Tutankhamen. Following this, your guide will take you to see the stunning mosque of Mohamed Ali as well as the amazing medieval-styled Saladin Citadel.
Later on, you'll make one lunch stop at a nearby restaurant.
There will be one more visit in ancient Cairo after lunch to see the major Jewish and Christian sites, including the Church of Abu Sarga, which is believed to have been built more than 1300 years ago, the Hanging Church, and the Ben Ezra Synagogue.
Afterwards, you're going to Khan El-Khalili Bazaar, one of the oldest bazaars in Africa with over a thousand shops, where you may experience the ambiance of the East more thoroughly.
Driving back to the hotel for the night was the final step.
Day of departure:
You will be transferred to Cairo airport for your international departure if your flight is delayed. If not, we can arrange an optional trip for you in the morning.
