Unlike most group tours, this private tour is exclusive for your party, so you can be sure of a more tailored experience of Alexandria. Investigate the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Pompey’s Pillar, the Serapeum, the Citadel of Qaitbay, and the Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa.
Get a private pick-up from your Alexandria hotel to start your day. Go to Pompey's Pillar first. It was built around the end of the fourth century as a tribute to Emperor Diocletian. It came from the temple of Serapis, where it had once stood alongside the Soma and the Caesarean as a splendid building. After that, you take a car to the Catacombs, the largest Roman cemetery with three floors carved out of the rock.
After enjoying a leisurely lunch at a neighborhood eatery in Alexandria, we will visit the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and the Qaitbay Citadel, which was constructed on the location of the ancient pharaohs' lighthouse.
You will be taken to your Cairo hotel at the conclusion of the excursion.
